A decorative miniature carriage clock


Case: silver/brass, ray skin covered, handle on top, bun feet, signed. Dial: enamel, multi-coloured flower and paillon border, radial Roman hours, blued spade hands. Movm.: trapezoidal brass movement, frosted, gilt, punch mark "JTC", solid movement pillars, screw compensation balance.

The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company
The firm was established in 1880 by William Gibson (d. 1913) and John Lawrence Langman (1846-1928).
The firm participated to a number of national and international exhibitions, as Colonial and Indian Exhibition (London, 1886), Paris (1889), Chicago (1893), California (1894), Paris (1900) and Franco-British Exhibition (London, 1908).

The company Geneva Clock Co. / Fabrique Genevoise de Pendulettes SA / L. Tissot & Co. was based in Geneva and registered there on November 1, 1880. The orginal company is "LTC" nestled between two diamonds.
