A very fine, small eight day duration library clock in a rosewood case with hour repeater and hour self strike


Case: rosewood, moulded base on four bun feet, hinged front door with arched glass, brass-set canted corners, pentagonal brass-edged glasses to the two sides, glazed rear door, cornice with dentil pattern, top with a countersunk brass handle, pull cord for repeating mechanism. Dial: silvered, arched, engraved chapter ring with inlaid radial Roman hours, signed, blued spade hands. Movm.: solid rectangular brass full plate movement, keywind, double chain/fusee, 1 hammer / 1 bell, anchor escapement, short pendulum.
