Case: brass, gilt, well-executed floral engravings, the rounded corners decorated with pilasters, facet glazed front, top and side panels, hinged back door with engraved volutes and foliage, engraved handle. Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, two subsidiary chapter rings for auxiliary and split seconds, signed, blued Breguet hands. Movm.: rectangular brass full plate movement, gilt, keywind, 1 hammer / 1 bell, signed, 2 barrels, platform with pivoted detent chronometer escapement, gold screw compensation balance, freesprung blued balance spring, fine florally engraved balance cock, chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
A rare precision carriage clock; we know of no other travel clock with this type of "split second chronograph" function.
