Case: 18k gold, all-over decorated with floral engravings, the front lid with an applied chapter ring of translucent rose-coloured enamel over engine-turned ground with pink-coloured Roman numerals, florally engraved pendant, gold dome, case maker's punch mark "MF" (Meylan Frères). Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, blued double spade hands. Movm.: bridge movement, frosted, gilt, 2 hammers / 2 gongs, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance.
Watches of this size and quality that are fitted with a striking mechanism are rare. The fine engraving on the case overlaid in part by translucent pink enamelling make this piece truly outstanding in its appearance.
