Case: transport case - silver, tortoiseshell with stud decoration. Outer case - silver, tiered, polished, large lateral hinge. Inner case - silver, case maker's punch mark "C&M", polished. Dial: enamel, "en bosse", radial Roman hours, Louis XVI hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, signed, chain/fusee, square baluster pillars, three-arm steel balance, finely engraved, pierced balance bridge.
Preudhomme is first mentioned in connection with the Roentgen workshop in 1776. The small Roentgen clock in the David Collection, Copenhagen, is also signed by Preudhomme.
