A pair-cased verge pocket watch with "repoussé" decoration "Minerva shielding Telemachus from the Arrow of Cupid"
Case: outer case - 18k gold, "repoussé" decoration: Minerva shielding the sleeping Telemachus from the arrow of Cupid and the wiles of Venus, large lateral hinge. Inner case - 18k gold, polished, case maker's punch mark crowned "I.*R". Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, Poker & Beetle hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, applied floral decorations, firegilt, signed, chain/fusee, fluted pillars with foliate scrolls, three-arm brass balance, engraved and pierced silver balance bridge with flower and shell decoration.
