, Case No. 55, 50 mm, 65 g, circa 1830A gentleman's unusual pocket watch with a solid steel bridge movement
Case: silver, back with flags, military instruments and a canon. Dial: enamel. Movm.: bridge movement, three-arm steel balance, keywind, shock protection "parachute", temperature compensation.
This watch may seem rather non-descript at first glance – however, the fact that all movement parts are made of polished steel, the unusual shock protection device and the coloured dial with the delicate hands actually make this watch a highly interesting collector’s piece. We know of only two other examples of this type.
