International Watch Co., Movement No. 272818, Case No. 297463, Cal. 57-19'''H7, 51 mm, 103 g, circa 1902
A gentleman's Schaffhausen pocket watch with a rare seconds zero reset device Case: silver. Dial: enamel. Movm.: 1/2 plate movement, screw compensation balance.
This is a very unusual IWC pocket watch. The zero setting function is activated by a coaxial pusher in the winding crown and an elaborate set of levers transmits the force to the auxiliary seconds. We do not know if this mechanism was designed by IWC or if it was added to the movement at a later date by a keen watchmaker.
