Lot No. 446 (93rd Auction)
Vacheron & Constantin à Genève, "Jubilee 1755", Movement No. 971002, Case No. 800731, Ref. 85250/000R-9143, Cal. 2475, 40 mm, circa 2005

A gentleman's classical automatic Geneva wristwatch with indications of day and date and fan-shaped power reserve indicator in near mint condition - limited edition no. 203 of 501 pieces - with original box, certificate, operating instructions and accessories
Case: 18k rose gold / sapphire glass, 18k gold buckle. Dial: silvered, engine-turned. Movm.: 18k gold rotorwind movement, hack feature, Glucydur balance.

This marvellous classic wristwatch was created on occasion of the 250th anniversary of Vacheron & Constantin in 2005 and intended to celebrate the oldest watch manufactory in the world. After the anniversary series was announced, most of the 501 examples were sold in advance – this is why the watch is hardly ever found on the market. Its 40mm diameter, the delicately reeded case and the dial with its lavish engine-turning and the gold indexes and hands make this watch one of the most sought-after models ever produced by Vacheron & Constantin. The dial has an applied Geneva seal.
