Breguet à Paris, Movement No. 761, 59 mm, circa 1798

Case: brass. Dial: enamel, secret signature below "12". Movm.: bridge movement, 1 hammer, open barrel for striking train.
Breguet! A truly striking collection that is a must for any fan of this brilliant maker. Amongst the books are standard works such as George Daniels' "The Art of Breguet", "Breguet" by Patrizzi/Sabrier and "Breguet" by Sir David Lionel Salomons (the man who said: "To carry a fine Breguet watch is to feel that you have the brains of a genius in your pocket."). They are accompanied by three of Breguet’s movements; number 761 is in a temporary case but with original dial and Breguet's secret signature. Finally a signed etching by David Penney, showing a pocket watch by George Daniels – in true Breguet style of course.
