A rare vintage "Yachting" chronograph
Case: steel, screw back with engraving "Brenmar II Atlantic Crossing 1973". Dial: black.
This exceptionally rare Yema Yachting chronograph is based on a model dating back to 1945 - the world‘s first wrist chronograph with 45 minute recording and 15-10-5 regatta count down timer for yacht racing. Besides its use for regattas, the Yema Yachting also functions as an all-purpose 45 minute chronograph.
The signs of wear are the result of an Atlantic crossing aboard the "Brenmar II" nearly 50 years ago. The case bears several "scars", some isolated, gently patinated water spots on the dial tell the story of this exciting journey. An interesting timepiece with a past...
