IWC Schaffhausen started the production of reference 3706 in 1994. From the start, the "Fliegerchronograph" featured elements that recalled the pilot’s watches of IWC’s Mark series. Without doubt this chronograph marks a milestone in the development of aviation watches in the years after the quartz revolution.
