In 1969 Breitling introduced the die Chrono-Matic, which was one of the first automatic chronographs and had a very distinctive appearance. The Chrono-Matic possesses a combined hour and minute indication on the revolving bezel and has a tachy scale on the dial. The white baton indexes and subsidiary dials stand out nicely against the black dial and the red accents are an attractive eyecatcher.
