This beautiful vintage piece with decimal minutes was originally intended for engineers and technicians. The dial has a 1/5 seconds division and an outer decimal ring dividing the minute into 100 parts. Decimal scales are used to facilitate the logging of serial sequences.
The Heuer Carrera dating from 1963 was originally launched with two or three subsidiary dials, depending on the calibre inside. It is still one of the most sought-after vintage Heuer chronographs; with the slim bezel and the boldly slanted lugs the 36 mm case appears much larger on the wrist than it actually is.
This timepiece is in excellent condition with some gentle signs of age; the dial is more or less immaculate with slightly patinated luminous material in the hands and the luminous dots on the hour markers.
