Even as a pocket watch the Royal Oak combines all the typical features that make this timepiece a legend: Gerald Genta’s screwed-in, octagonal bezel, the canted, polished edges and the tapisserie dial. In 1972 the "Royal Oak" wristwatch was one of the first luxury timepieces in a steel case and its distinctive porthole design has exerted an influence on the watch market ever since.
The timepiece is in excellent condition, with some minor, age-appropriate scratching on the case. The gold bezel makes an appealing contrast to the anthracite colour of the dial and the steel case.
