The Omega Speedmaster Professional "Moonphases" chronograph retains the distinctive features of the classic Speedmaster model such as the steel case with the bevelled lugs and the black bezel with tachymeter scale. The black dial with luminous indexes and hands is also a typical feature of the Speedmaster Professional, just as the 30-minute and 12-hour counters at 3 and 6 o’clock and the small second at 9 o’clock. The extra subsidiary dial with date ring at 12 o’clock, however, sets this model apart from the traditional Speedmaster Professionals; it displays a relief-like, silver moonphase on sky blue ground. As an additional highlight the dial features rhodium-plated steel rings framing the chronograph counters and the small second. The luxurious Omega calibre 1866, a manual-wind movement decorated with Geneva stripes, is revealed through the transparent case back.
