When the Panerai brand became part of the Swiss Richemont group, some Panerai watchmakers in Florence – where the brand had originally been established – bought the old factory and began making watches under the name Anonimo. The company continued for approximately 10 years before it unfortunately went out of business. Today there is again a brand Anonimo, but this is a Swiss make that has no relations to the original Italian brand Anonimo.
