The flat calibre 2003 used in this watch is only 1.64 mm high. It was developed in 1953 and had a production run of half a century. At the time it was considered the flattest movement ever produced by any brand. This is, however, not the only reason the rare vintage watches made by Audemars Piguet are so highly coveted – they are also extremely popular among the collectors because of their unique yet classic elegance.
This timepiece comes in an extravagant oval case with a distinctive stripe pattern finish that is repeated on the dial; the watch is in overall very good condition.
