The outside wall of the clock is decorated all around with engraved leaf scrolls and also three portraits of a gentleman at different stages of his life, with various matching headgear such as a knight’s helmet or a crown. The clock is supported by three-dimensional feet in the shape of lions sitting on their hind legs with shields in their front paws.
