There are alltogether four different references of the Rolex Dato-Compax fitted inside an Oyster case: 4767, 5036, 6036 and 6236. The Dato-Compax is the only Rolex model to feature a triple calendar and a chronograph function.
Reference 6036 is the third version and was named after French Olympic skiing champion and Rolex fan Jean-Claude Killy, who is said to have worn the iconic Dato Compax.
The charismatic 18 K rose gold sports chronograph is in unbelievable well preserved condition and only very rarely appears on the market. It has a classy and charmingly aged, two-tone silvered "star" dial without any luminous material. The left register has an original "needle" hand. The outer date ring has blue Arabic numerals and is slightly darker in color than the main portion of the dial. Between 11 and 1 o'clock the day of the week and the month in English are displayed in two small windows. The dial is further finished with rose gold Dauphine hands that match its rose gold case and bracelet - overall, a stunningly beautiful timepiece full of balanced proportions.

Reference 6036 was produced in very few examples from the mid 1940s to the early 1960s in 18 K yellow or rose gold and in stainless steel, including only about 140 examples in rose gold.
