A very fine, rare minute repeating hunting case pocket watch with chronograph "the horse race" and original mahogany box
Case: 18k gold, chased, the front lid decorated with an applied relief depicting heads of three Arabian horses, the back side with an engraved monogram, à goutte, signed gold dome, pusher for chronograph at "2", slide for repeating mechanism. Dial: enamel, Arabic "Empire" numerals, auxiliary seconds, 30 min. counter, spade hands. Movm.: bridge movement, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, very finely matted, bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, screw compensation balance, counterpoised lever.
