A very fine double-cased gold enamel "à quatre couleurs" verge pocket watch
Case: protective outer case - firegilt, glazed, moulded, large lateral hinge. Inner case - 18k rose gold, paste-set bezel, braid patterned case band, on the back cover a polychrome enamel medallion with the miniature portrait of a noble lady adorned with roses holding a bird in her hand; paste-set ribbon-shaped border, framed by two-colour gold flower tendrils, paste-set thumb piece, large lateral hinge. Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, paste-set Louis XV hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, chain/fusee, waisted solid movement pillars, three-arm brass balance, fine florally engraved and pierced balance bridge.
