A very fine, large and heavy Glashuette minute repeating hunting case pocket watch with chronograph manufactured in quality 1A - with original box
Case: 18k rose gold, tiered, polished, engraved monogram "FZ", à goutte, gold dome with presentation engraving: "Herrn F. Zschiegner zur Erinnerung gewidmet von Max Ziegra, Berlin, August 1902", pusher for chronograph at "12", slide for repeating mechanism, glazed movement. Dial: enamel, Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, 30 min. counter, gold Louis XV hands. Movm.: 3/4 plate movement, frosted, gilt, screwed gold chatons, finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, 2 hammers / 2 gongs, gold screw compensation balance, very finely engraved balance cock, index spring fine adjusting device, gold lever and escape wheel, chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
Friedrich Zschiegner
Zschiegner was a theatre director and the inventor of a novel aerial dance act "Human Birds".

Max Ziegra (1852-1923)
Max Ziegra was a German genre painter and amateur photographer. He studied at the academies of Dresden and Weimar and took part in exhibitions in Vienna in 1882 and Berlin in 1879 to 1790.
