An almost as new quarter repeating hunting case pocket watch
Case: 18k gold, screwed on monogram, engine-turned, reeded band, à goutte, inner lid with signature, slide for repeating mechanism, glazed movement. Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, signed, blued Breguet hands. Movm.: bridge movement, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 2 hammers / 2 gongs, pink gold train, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance, counterpoised lever.
Eugène LeCoultre
The Eugène LeCoultre company was active in the second half of the 19th century and produced very fine and extremely complicated watches, some of them with perpetual calendars. In 1880 the company was awarded first prize in the chronometer test at the Geneva observatory.
