Lot 239

Patek Philippe Genève, Movement No. 3679693, Ref. 5139G, Cal. 240/114, 38 mm, circa 2010
A gentleman's rare and complicated automatic Geneva wristwatch in near mint condition with perpetual calendar and moon phase in an extra flat white gold case - with original box and operating instructions
Case: 18k white gold / sapphire glass. Dial: silvered. Movm.: 22k gold microrotor movement, Gyromax balance.
This model, equipped with an extra flat perpetual calendar with day, date, months and leap year indicators and moon phase, is one of the flagships of the Patek Philippe collection. The gentleman’s complicated wristwatch reference 5139 was launched in 2008; its case is only slightly larger than that of its predecessor reference 5039. Patek Philippe had managed to fit the perpetual calendar complication into a much flatter case and also use their typical "Clous de Paris" bezel for this watch. An undisputed classic in modern garb!
