A charming, fine gold enamel pendant form watch in the shape of a small wicker basket, studded with half-pearls
Case: gold enamel. Dial: enamel. Movm.: full plate movement, chain/fusee, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance.
Pressing the pusher opens the little basket and reveals the dial. The arched top of the watch is decorated with translucent green enamel on floral engine-turned pattern. The lower part imitates a wicker basket with vertical rows of half pearls on opaque blue ground symbolising the willow switches. The handle is formed by stylized, partly enamelled leaf scrolls.
