A rare ensemble consisting of a gold enamel form watch and a gold enamel pendant studded with half-pearls "The winged Cherubs"
Case: gold, polychrome enamel and half-pearls. Dial: enamel. Movm.: full plate movement, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance.
The gold and enamel case of the watch is painted on both sides with the heads of two cherubs, with a dark-haired one on the front and a blond-haired one on the back. Their gold wings are engraved and decorated with blue Champlevé enamel. The pendant is painted with another cherub’s head and has a small compartment on the back where a picture can be inserted behind a glass panel. The wings are similarly ornamented and studded with half-pearls.
