A highly attractive quarter repeating pocket watch with musical movement that activates on the hour
Case: 18k rose gold, case maker's punch mark "HB". Dial: gold, polychrome enamel, enamel cartouches. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, 2 hammers / 2 gongs, cylinder escapement, three-arm ring balance, double sided pinned-disc musical mechanism (sur plateau) with vibrating blades acting on both sides of the disc mirror-polished levers for musical movement.
The gold dial is decorated with exquisite engraving around the rim and white oval enamel cartouches with Arabian numerals for the hours. The central enamel medallion with a fine polychrome painting of high quality shows Terpsichore, one of the nine Muses and goddess of dance and chorus, sitting at a lakeside.
