A Geneva half hunter pocket watch - lever chronometer in quality extra - entered 1902 for the Geneva observatory competition "Chronomètres 1er Classe". With Patek Philippe extract from the archives and a copy of the rating certificate of the Observatoire de Genève dated April 7, 1902.
Case: 18k pink gold, inlaid enamel monogram. Dial: enamel. Movm.: bridge movement, gold screw Guillaume balance with platinum regulation screws.
Charles Batifolier was the maker who regulated this watch; the watch was awarded 229.9 points in the chronometer test, which meant position 5 out of 117 competitors. Batifolier was known as one of the "superstars" in his field, alongside Favre-Rochat, Golay-Audemars, Modoux, Olivier, Wehrli, Zibach and others.
