Lot 319

Patek Philippe Genève, Movement No. 867858, Case No. 661221, Ref. 130, Cal. 13''', 33 mm, circa 1950
An elegant Geneva wristwatch with chronograph and 30 minute counter - sold on December 13th, 1950 - with Patek Philippe extract from the archives
Case: 18k gold, push back, 18k gold buckle. Dial: silvered, satined, raised gold indexes/Roman numerals, tachy scale.
This wristwatch reference 130 dates from 1950 and is without doubt one of the most desirable collector's pieces from the elegant Patek Philippe chronograph range. The reference was first produced in 1934 in different models (yellow, rose and white gold, steel; as double pusher and, in rare cases, single pusher chronographs).
Reference 130 is perfectly proportioned, with a large dial for easy reading embedded in a delicate, concave bezel, a push button at 2 and another at 4. Some few examples were produced with a single push button on the crown. Reference 130 was at first fitted in ebauches by Victorin Piguet and later in Lemania ebauches.
