A heavy hunting case pocket watch with pivoted detent escapement
Case: 18k gold, engine-turned. Dial: silvered, applied gold floral ornaments. Movm.: bridge movement, chain/fusee, pink gold train, gold screw compensation balance, blued helical balance spring.
Charles-Théodore Vaucher in Fleurier was born in 1800. In 1856 he formed a partnership with Charles-Henri Grosclaude, who had established the company Ch. Hr. Grosclaude & Fils in 1850. Vaucher died in 1869.
