A collection of 4 vintage wristwatches

A. Lange & Söhne Glashütte - SA, Movement No. 48428, Case No. 48428, Cal. 28, 31 x 31 mm, circa 1907

A rare Glashütte wristwatch, sold on November 12, 1907 to the Ludwig Teubner company in Dresden for 331 mark – with extract from the archives of the Glashütte watch and clock museum
Case: 18k pink gold. Dial: enamel. Movm.: 3/4 plate movement, gold screw compensation balance.

As shown in the extract from the archives, this timepiece was originally designed as a lady’s pocket watch and later modernized into a wristwatch. Quite unusually the watch is fitted with an index spring fine adjusting system, which was typically used for men’s pocket watches only.
Case: very good, later custom made
Dial: very good
Movm.: very good, capable of running, cleaning recommended
