A very fine and heavy hunting case pocket watch with minute repeater in a lavishly ornamented gold case Case: 14K gold, front with engraved monogramme cartouche and crown flanked by two knights in armour; framed by flower and foliate scrolls. Back with engraved cavalier blowing the hunting horn, shrubs and trees; in the background a palace and a town. Framed by flower and foliate scrolls; engraved gold dome, slide for repeating mechanism, glazed movement. Dial: enamel, Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, gold Louis XVI hands. Movm.: bridge movement, frosted, gilt, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, screwed chatons, wolfteeth winding wheels, screw compensation balance, counterpoised lever.
