An exquisite gold enamel snuff box "Bouquet of Summer Flowers"
Case: 18K gold, case maker’s mark "RL&C" (Rémond, Lamy & Co.).
Oval shape, allover engine-turned rocaille pattern and translucent cobalt clue and opaque black enamelling. Hinged lid with vase shaped enamel medallion studded with half pearls: very fine miniature painting of a bouquet of summer flowers before an alpine lake scene, flanked by an applied gold flower scroll with half pearls on each side. The edge of the lid with geometric Champlevé blue ornamental bands on a black background, sides with stylized flowers on black and white ground.
