A rare pair-cased verge pocket watch


Case: outer case - silver, polished, large lateral hinge. Inner case - silver, polished, case maker's punch mark "PC" (Peter Cromillou of London). Dial: silver, Champlevé, inlaid radial Roman hours, blued steel "Poker & Beetle" hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, applied engraved ornaments, chain/fusee, square baluster pillars, signed, three-arm steel balance, very finely engraved pierced balance cock with grotesque face.
