A rare quarter repeating pair-cased coach clock
Case: outer case - covered with tortoiseshell, stud and knurl decoration, silver mountings, large lateral hinge. Inner case - silver, the back side and the front border pierced and finely florally hand-engraved, rear bell, string for repetition, large lateral hinge. Dial: champlevé, inlaid radial Roman hours, signed, blued Fleur-de-Lys hands. Movm.: full plate movement, applied, engraved, florally pierced decorations, firegilt, signed, chain/fusee, Egyptian movement pillars, engraved barrel, 2 hammers, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance, very finely florally engraved, pierced balance cock.
