José Rodríguez Losada (1797-1870)
Losada was a Spanish watchmaker in the middle of the 19th century and signed his watches "J.R. Losada". He was a liberal former member of the army, who lived in London; he is known for the turret clock he donated to the Community of Madrid in 1866 and which can be seen at the Puerta del Sol. Losada also wrote poems, some of which he dedicated to his friend Joseph Zorrilla.
