A half hour striking table clock with calendar and moon phase
Case: mahogany, oblong case with arched pediment, gilt and decorated bezel, moulded base. Dial: enamel, signed "D'Herschel", Arabic numerals, outer chapter ring with red Arabic numerals and blued hand for the date, inner chapter ring with two blued hands for indicating the day of the week in its upper half and the planet of the day in the lower half; opening for the moon phase: disc with cobalt blue enamelling with moon and stars inlay, open work engraved and gilt hands. Movm.: rectangular brass full plate movement, signed, 2 barrels, 1 hammer / 1 bell, baluster movement pillars, count wheel, anchor escapement, silk suspended short pendulum.
