A very fine Empire-Style mantel clock with half hour / hour self strike
Case: silver, drum shaped case with palm frieze and wheat spike borders on a four-hoofed stand with ram heads, surmounted by a couple of doves, placed on a square plinth with four bun feet and drapery. Dial: silvered, engine-turned, Arabic numerals, serpent hands. Movm.: circular brass full plate movement, keywind, 1 hammer / 1 bell, cylinder escapement, three-arm ring balance.
