A rare lantern clock with alarm

Case: brass, gilt, with polychrome enamelling and engraving. Curvy base decorated with flowers, four bun feet. Arched glass doors on front and sides with applied ornaments and and painted flowers. Top with open work iron frets, bell with knob finial. The back of the clock has a lug for attaching it to the wall. Dial: gilt brass front plate lavishly engraved with foliate and floral patterns, applied silver chapter ring with inlaid radial Roman numerals, blued spade hands. Cartouche-shaped alarm dial above with engraved Arabic numerals and single iron hand. Movm.: brass wheel movement, four baluster pillars on high pedestals, blued open work grille, weight driven via cord and counter weight for going train and striking train, verge escapement, 1 hammer, short pendulum.
