In the heyday of quartz watches, IWC in Schaffhausen – following a centuries-old tradition - took the surprising step of creating their first "Jacquemart" watch. The watch shows the typical figures applied in different shades of gold on the dark blue dial. The figure on the right strikes the bell just like the figures of old did at the top of the clocktowers. The movement, however, is a modern calibre 9528.
