A collection of 3 observatory chronometers
Lavina, Swiss, 32 mm, circa 1930
A rare competition observatory chronometer of 30 mm in an aluminium block observatory case
Case: steel. Dial: enamel. Movm.: bridge movement, screw compensation balance.
The Lavina company – founded by Paul W. Brack in Villeret in Switzerland in 1852 – is not particularly well known, however, it has a long tradition and is known to have worked with houses like Gruen and Minerva. What we have here is a finely created precision movement with enamel dial, both in excellent condition.
