An elegant vintage automatic wristwatch with original box
Case: 18k gold, push back with relief, Longines buckle. Dial: gilt.
The "flagship" motif continues on the case-back with a chased relief of a sailing vessel. The ship at sea is shown in great detail, the chasing is immaculate. Likewise, the dial is in almost new condition, with a matt-finished, gilt and fully signed surface that is framed by a stylized golden rope.
The novel calibre 340 used in this watch was developed over several years and finally launched in 1960. It has a peripheral rotor which accounts for most of the diameter of the case.
