Glashütte Original, Glashütte i/SA, "Senator Chronometer", Movement No. 0186, Case No. 0034, Ref. 1-58-01-01-01-04, Cal. GO58, 42 mm, circa 2009
A heavy wrist chronometer in mint condition, with power reserve indicator, panorama date and day and night indicator - with original box, certificate, operating instructions, guarantee, setting pin and calibration certificate
Case: 18k rose gold, screwed on glazed back, original 18k rose gold deployant clasp. Dial: silvered.
In line with the tradition of watchmaking in Glashütte, Glashütte Original created this wrist chronometer as a sophisticated mechanical timepiece; its design and reliability match that of the historical marine chronometers of the 19th and 20th century.
In the style of these classic models, the power reserve indicator sits at 12 o’clock; the typical panoramic date display – which is colour-coordinated with the dial – is positioned at 3 o’clock, with the small second at 6 o’clock. A discreet, round opening inside the power reserve display indicates day or night: it shows white from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and black from 6 p.m. to the next morning.
The Senator Chronometer was launched in 2009; over the years this timeless, elegant model has developed into a successful centrepiece of the Senator range.
