The Polish watch and clockmaker Lorenz Beitelrock (Lorenc Baytelrok und Wawrzyniec Baytelrok), however, has signed some of his timepieces with his backwards spelled name: Korle(teib). Beitelrock worked in Lublin, about 160 kilometres southeast of the capital Warsaw, in the mid-18th century. He must have been highly respected, as the royal collection in Warsaw Castle contains a hexagonal table clock by Beitelrock (Inv. No. ZKW-dep.FC/199).
