An attractive vintage 18k pink gold wrist chronograph with 45 min. counter and blue tachy scale
Case: 18k pink gold, push back. Dial: silvered.
The Zenith calibre 156 with column-wheel used in this fine vintage chronograph has always been held in great esteem as a superior chronograph movement; it was designed by Martel before the company was taken over by Zenith in 1960.
The movement sits in a magnificent, oversize red gold case, which has a more elegant appeal than the smaller and "cooler" steel cases that were commonly used for chronographs at the time. The cream-coloured dial with red gold accents has acquired a beautiful patina and contrasts elegantly with the blue tachymeter scale and the blued chronograph hands.
