Product Description

In 1936 Longines began producing calibre 13ZN, which was the first chronograph mechanism with flyback function and two pushers; the company also applied for a patent for it. This particular type of chronograph was designed specially for pilots, who very much depended on ease of use for zero-setting or starting and stopping their chronographs. At the same time a different version of calibre 13ZN without the flyback function but with two pushers was available – this timepiece is such a model. There is only very little information available on this wrist chronograph and it very rarely appears on the marked!
