The rounded form and the silky satin-finished steel case are responsible for the cult status the so-called "Speedmasters Teutonic" dating from the late 1980s enjoy nowadays – they lend the watches a timeless, sporty appeal. Colourful accents such as the orange hour and minute hands and the set of blue chronograph hands intensify this impression. As these models only had a rather short production run, they have become highly sought-after collector’s pieces today.
